The socks are coming along, I`m just about to turn the heel - I can`t say I`m enjoying making them, the only thing that keeps me going is when I try them on they feel so nice.
Last night I decided to do a little bit of sewing, as I could do with a small needle case to keep in one of my knitting bags, just so I can have a needle and a couple of safety pins holding stitch markers to hand, I got fabric ready and settled down to stich but then discovered I had a little bit of a problem ....

Your Victorian shawl is just beautiful! Very interesting to see lace done in heavier yarn, it works really well there.
The kitty is awwwwesome!!
I love, love the shawl. Aran weight lace sounds just perfect to me! So warm and such a great pattern.
That last photo is so cute. The shawl is absolutely beautiful and I have a sneaking suspicion it's going to be a lot more practical than a finer-gauge one.
Keep going with the socks. Turning a heel is where the magic is for some people.
Wow - the shawl is glorious, I can just imagine the joy of being snug in that of an evening.
Good luck with the sock and (getting to) your sewing
yes yes I can see where you problem lies with the Sewing. A certain case of Black/white catteritis has hit your sewing basket!!!

I love the aran-weight shawl, that's been on my list for a while! Cute cat piccie too :-D
